Dr. D’Souza, the founder of DOMA, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician who has been in practice for over a decade and lives and works in the Hudson Valley region of New York. He offers lifestyle, longevity medicine, and health counseling nationwide.
Over the last several years in practice, Dr. D’Souza has developed a renewed interest in the importance of osteopathic principles and a whole-person approach to healthcare. Through his varied experience in treating both acute and chronic diseases, his focus has shifted from treating the end effects of disease to their primary prevention through fostering health in its biopsychosocial, structural/anatomical, and hormonal/homeostatic dimensions. It is Dr. D’Souza’s belief that A.T. Still (founder of Osteopathy) was correct in asserting that the best way to treat disease was to foster health in his patients and build fundamental physiological resilience.
Dr. D'Souza has extensively practiced and trained in osteopathic manipulative medicine and has completed several hundred hours of continuing medical education in its practice. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM), American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy (OCA).
